One of the most affecting voices of the 21st century, Sari Schorr’s position at the forefront of the new blues rock revolution is undisputed. Her voice contains the right combination of Robert Plant style vocals and Dusty Springfield’s sultry warmth that beautifully highlights the softer side of Schorr’s vocal wheelhouse. With a downright phenomenal voice and a bucketful of attitude, the singer/songwriter has been playing to packed houses across the UK and Europe since the release of her ground-breaking debut album, A Force of Nature produced by the legendary producer Mike Vernon.
Sari’s “overnight” success comes after years trudging the rugged road of the hard-working Blues woman. From her humble beginnings working the music scene in New York City’s fierce South Bronx, to performances around the world and an induction into the New York Blues Hall of Fame. Schorr debuted her signature cover of the Lead Belly’s classic, “Black Betty,” at Carnegie Hall in New York. She has since performed her haunting rendition worldwide, including at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Sari and her band recently played a storming set at Winterstorm to a rapturous reception.
